Denmark November 2013

"I'm Coming to Get You All! Do you hear me Leaf?!? Do your hear me e-Up!?!?" - That's what the i3 seem to be shouting. Then again, maybe not...

"Leaf, Meet Your New Opponent" Edition

After several posts versing four digit sale countries, it could be off-putting talking about a market of just 93 monthly sales, only it isn't, because that number represents a new sales record for the danish EV market and the hope that it will end the year above the 2012 hallmark of 500 units sold. Oh, and the EV Share jumped also to 0,26%, still behind last years (0,29%), but way above of what it was in August (0,18%).

Just three electric cars scored two digit sales, with the Nissan Leaf leading the way with 37 units, followed by the now #2 YTD Tesla Model S with 32 units sold and the newcomer VW e-Up! registering 16 units right in its landing month, given the success of the ICE version here, this could be yet another serious candidate at the Best Selling crown in '14. Next year should be interesting...

Just to see now how different this market is from last year, a year ago the #1 was the Renault Fluence ZE (It's now #4 and it hasn't scored sales since May), followed in #2 by the Peugeot iOn (It's now #7), and in Third there was the Citröen C-Zero, that now has...0 sales. Yep, zero, nil, nada.
